Family Members
The three most important people in Tutankhamun's family are his mother, Nefertiti, his father, Akhenaten, and his brother, Smenkhkare. Here is a little bit more about all of them
Akhenaten
Tutankhamun's father, Akhenaten, was the king of ancient Egypt, until he died. He ruled from 1353 BC to 1336 BC, when Smenkhkare took the throne for two years, until death. That is when Tutankhamun took the throne.
Nefertiti
Scientists are still not absolutely sure whether Nefertiti was actually Tutankhamun's mother or not. She was pictured with Akhenaten and plenty of paintings, so they believe that Nefertiti was married to him.
Smenkhkare
Little is known about Tutankhamun's brother, Smenkhkare, but it is believed that he was the 11th pharaoh of ancient Egypt and that he ruled from 1336 BC to 1333 BC.
